MEET OUR TEAM
Experience You Can Trust
Deno Home Center is family-owned-and-operated. We've been serving our community since 1975, offering real-world cabinet and flooring experience, as well as hardware and lumber knowledge not often found in the large national chain stores. Our team is backed by over 45 years of experience!
Rick & Nancy Deno
Rick started an insulation business in Fowler during his early years at St. Joseph's College. Upon graduating, he taught history at Benton Central while running Deno Insulation & Remodeling. He expanded into flooring, siding, and paint, opening his first Deno Associates, Inc. showroom in 1978.
Business grew and Rick's focus shifted from teaching to full-time design under the name Deno Decorating in 1979. He expanded to Lafayette and added cabinets, countertops, wall coverings, and window treatments to his product portfolio.
Upon purchasing the Hardware Store/Lumberyard in 2006, Deno Home Center was born. The Lafayette showroom moved back to downtown Fowler in 2011.
Nancy has been by Rick's side for over 50 years! She manages the bookkeeping and accounting tasks that are "above his paygrade" as he jokes. In their spare time, they enjoy spoiling grandkids and visiting their son Adam in Virginia.
Jeremy Deno
Jeremy is the oldest of Rick & Nancy's three sons. He joined the family business in 1996, initially cleaning carpet & furniture, as well as mixing paint. Since then, he's expanded his expertise to managing the Hardware Store and many of the daily operations. You'll usually see him in one of the aisles helping a customer or placing an order to keep our aisles full of the products you need. If you don't find what you're looking for on our shelves, he's the guy to talk to about getting it ordered so you don't have to leave town to find it.
When Jeremy isn't at the store, you can probably find him volunteering at the Fowler Theatre, leading a Boy Scout event, camping at a nearby state park, or spending time with his family.
Cory Deno
Cory is Rick & Nancy's middle son. He graduated from Purdue University in 2002 and went to work at Klentzer’s, his grandfather’s local heating, cooling, and plumbing business. He came onboard here in 2006 to manage our lumberyard and delivery services. Born and raised in Fowler, he doesn't know a stranger in this county! If you need an estimate or delivery of building materials, he's the guy to talk to, traveling all over Benton County and surrounding areas to bring our products to you. When he's not delivering, he's usually unloading a truck in front of our store to fill our lumberyard with the materials you need for your project.
Cory enjoys cruising Fowler on his golf cart with family and hunting buddies after a long workday. During hunting season, he'll be in the woods after hours.
Jennifer Deno
Jennifer graduated from Indiana State with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. She completed a summer internship with Deno Decorating in Lafayette before being hired on full-time in 2006. She transferred to the Fowler location shortly after and made a life here in Benton County. She married Jeremy in 2010 and became part of the Deno family! Upon the birth of their son, she worked at Purdue University for a few years, but returned to the family business in 2020 to do what she loves - helping clients freshen up their space no matter how big or small their budget may be.
When Jennifer isn't working, you might find her running her son around to various activities, relaxing in her hammock or on her new porch, or soaking up nature on a camping trip.
Dustin & Kenia Yeary
Dustin has served as our cabinet & flooring installer since 2010. His quality installations make us truly a one-stop shop. Dustin provides superior workmanship with an eagle eye for precision. From measuring to cutting materials, aligning patterns, achieving seamless transitions, and the utmost care in addressing issues that come up during a project, he takes pride in his work and finds practical solutions without cutting corners. His wife Kenia is often at his side, assisting Dustin however needed -- whether as an extra pair of hands, clean-up duty, or making cuts to keep the project flowing with minimal interruption. They make a great team and clients frequently let us know how thankful they are for the quality of work Dustin & Kenia deliver.
As if we don't keep them busy enough, Dustin & Kenia also manage a rental property in Benton County. They make sure to find quality time to spend with their son Kian and enjoy visiting their two grown boys, Leroy & Akis.
